In Tom Miner Basin, a yearling grizzly bear cub looks into the setting sun as if to see how far winter is away. This cub is one of a pair of twins whose mother was killed when she attacked a hunter. The twins have been thriving even though they live in an area where there are several large grizzly boars, which would kill them if they had the chance. The twins have kept together, often napping on each other, and hopefully will be able to den up for the winter. Hopefully we will be able to see these incredible bears next spring.
